Overland Rules

On the overland map any Freeband can adventure in the hexes adjacent to their area of influence. Each adventure will increase the renown and wealth of their Patron King, which can be leveraged to expand the Freeband’s area of influence.

Every time a Freeband attains a total of 15 points of wealth and renown, they can expand their Area of Influence to include one hex in which they have earned some portion of those points.

Strongholds have specific main advantages, as picked by the controlling Freeband.
Stable – Allows adventures up to two land hexes from Area of Influence.
Harbor – Allows adventures up to three water hexes from Area of Influence.
Great Hall – Allows wealth to be traded for renown.
Goldmine – Allows renown to be traded for wealth.
Healing Spring – Allows defeated models to return to battle.
Mage Tower – Allows wealth to be spent on single shot spell items.
Rangers Guild – Allows renown to be spent on battlefield setup.
Training Grounds – Allows renown and wealth to be spent on experience gain.
